Nas joins Bob Cross to stop racist smears against Michelle Obama

Above Nas, American Hip Hop Documentary Leader. Nas joins Bob Cross, ColorOfChange.org & MoveOn.org members to present over 600,000 petition signatures demanding that FOX stop its racist smears against the Obamas and other Black Americans. Women are contemplating voting in the presidential election regardless of punishment as the consequences.
Good friends at MoveOn.org has informed me that Hip hop star Nas has joined members of ColorOfChange.org & MoveOn.org and Bob Cross, Columbus, Ohio to deliver 620,127 petition signatures demanding that FOX end its pattern of racist attacks against Black Americans including presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle. The group has made the delivery at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 23rd at FOX in Manhattan.
As SCOOP readers know, Bob Cross has teamed up with me, Van Stone, to support Michelle Obama and her drive to help women become totally free from unfair and unlawful punishment because they desire to vote just as men do.
So it comes as no surprise that ColorOfChange.org has got the rapt attention of activists Najee Ali of Project Islamic Hope and Paul Porter of Industry Ears as well as several civil rights organizations. The coalition is calling for Lowell C. McAdam, President and CEO of Verizon Wireless, to withdraw a distribution deal he recently signed with a company making bias remarks about Mrs. Obama.
In a press release and statement to EUR, Najee Ali breaks it down a particular company has a history of using the Internet to promote racism and demeaning and negative racial stereotypes against African Americans on his Internet site. This company is responsible for and appears in what he calls 'TechNigga." So Ali, Porter and other activists' goal is to pressure McAdam and Verizon into dropping the company like a hot skillet handle. Of course free speech proponents will argue that what the company is doing is a just a parody. However, Ali doesn't think it's funny and tells Verizon in no uncertain terms that getting in bed with any company that is racist not a good idea.
"Verizon CEO Lowell C. McAdam needs to demonstrate that Verizon understands they should demonstrate corporate responsibility and will not tolerate racism, or bigotry. The Verizon distribution deal with any bias company sends a horrible message that Verizon seeks to partner with racists and that Verizon and CEO McAdam find nothing offensive with 'TechNigga.' Our community nationwide should. Contact Lowell C. McAdam and let him know that you will boycott Verizon unless this distribution with any bias company is severed. There are plans for an upcoming national day of protest against Verizon stores nationwide if our calls for a meeting and our demands are not met."
Why am I smiling so broadly? For one reason only: "There comes a time when it is better to obey God than men who purport to speak for God." So with news of a Muslim leading a fight against racism that degrades African American Christians while some members of his faith are engaging in honor killings can we be far from stepping away from mythical Ungodly mind control by our religious Elders? For years Elders have participated in dictating what young women can think and believe, forbidding some women to marry and other women to vote in political elections, in the name of Almighty God. Truly the time for change we can make happen is at hand. Yes it is
Over the last several weeks, FOX has had a string of incidents that many believe are a veiled attempt to prey on racism and intolerance and cast the Obamas as "outsiders." An on-screen graphic referred to Mrs. Obama as "Obama's baby mama," a pundit "confused" Obama with Osama and then joked they should both be assassinated, and an anchor called a loving fist bump between Barack and Michelle a "terrorist fist jab." In February, Bill O'Reilly talked about calling a "lynching party" to deal with Michelle Obama.
ColorOfChange.org, a 450,000-member grassroots organization that focuses on issues of importance to the Black community, gathered the signatures online over the last month. MoveOn.org and the Brave New Foundation also gathered signatures for the petition. Bob Cross contributed to this article. If you are a woman and you wish to participate in the fight to stop abuse against Mrs. Obama email me at frontpagenews1@yahoo.com -I will return your email or call.
