Some city council members are up in arms over a mass mailing sent out by the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors. The group is bashing council over property tax hikes, even though the budget deal includes no such increases.
Property tax increases are not part of the budget compromise reached by city council and the mayor. But the mass mailing from the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors calls the compromise a sham and raises the specter of property tax hikes if the budget doesn't get needed approvals from Harrisburg.
