Camden’s Riverfront Prison is no more. The last inmates have been moved out, and the place will be padlocked within a few days.
It was the second most modern prison in New Jersey, a mere 24 years old. But community leaders believe the property, along the banks of the Delaware River, in the shadow of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, could be put to far better use.
