Philadelphia City Commissioner Candidate Warren Bloom (May 21, 2019 – Primary
Election):

Bloom for City Commissioner
Democratic Commissioner Anthony Clark decision to
leave the Office of City Commissioner- he did not seek re-election this year- left
an available seat. Clark has been often criticized for a spotty voting record
and allegedly spending little time at his office.
Fortunately for voters, one candidate in
Tuesday’s May 21, 2019 primary election is well-prepared to fill that seat immediately: Warren Bloom, an
activist in civics education with experience in city information, can do more
than talk about correcting voting concerns and ensuring voting machines are
working.
Although the Democratic City Committee has yet to
hold a room meeting and endorse a favored candidate for the City Commissioner
seat, we endorse long serving community activist Warren Bloom of West
Philadelphia for that position.
Mr.
Bloom is a continued supporter of voting operations reform in this city. He has
argued for many reform measures about Philadelphia and Pennsylvania voting
activity in voting meetings.
Bloom is a civics-and-the-community Wiz kid who
has a long history of community involvement. Currently, Bloom, who is a public adjuster,
if elected as Democratic Commissioner would ensure that judge of election workers and subordinates are
nonpartisan during election day duty and serve registered voter’s loyally
irrespective of politics. Bloom in the spring candidacy
dictates his political priorities in trying to make Philadelphia a better voter
registration city.
We endorse Warren Bloom for City
Council.
