Janet’s way of hosting her original brand of talk radio has found a fast-growing audience in triple mediums. Janet’s House has followers from the local Philadelphia, PA area, the USA, and soon the Dominican Republic. She was named to the Philadelphia Front Page News -Magazine‘s 24 Beauty of the Year and top 100 “heavy talk radio host” in 2014. A former award-winning artist, and writer/columnist (and notable facebook messenger since 2010), Janet Powell was ranked as one of the top 16 most powerful mothers on talk radio by am broadcast reviewers and surveyors.
Janet founded a community movement in Philly and speaks regularly on the subject of media, grassroots and need for social change. Janet is a female host from the Philadelphia area who leads the radio station and community-based operation that respects and celebrates the cultural richness of the Black American and American Indigenous Peoples in Philly Beauty experiences. She also leads public affairs programming to be produced and hosted by Black women.
Janet Powell works in the Internet off-line community to promote equitable, participatory, and sustainable self-help development by speaking about social issues directly to local organizations throughout the region.
