A Message To SCOOP Readers and the next American President From Darryl T. Nutter Sr.
Above: Darryl T. Nutter Sr., Community Organizer, West Philly. This Nutter has proposed a new Court Reform Committee of Pennsylvania that must support community newspapers in particular the SCOOP USA. These newspapers will report in a non-bias way abuse of power issues in Phila. County Courthouse and at the Media Delaware County Courthouse. Nutter wants to explore trust given judges by the people.
Philadelphia – Notes from an interview with Darryl Nutter:
Allow me to introduce myself. Let me take this opportunity to thank Van Stone, from the Philadelphia Front Page News for bringing me on as an associate writer and political analyst. Van and I go way back together when we were both involved in a religious movement. We've moved on, but nonetheless, our relationship has remained tight, and we have both progressed toward bigger and better things. Now that I am a part of the FPN family, and also a Scoop newspaper writer I look forward to reporting the things you need to know about our community. Therefore, we want to find out what you are prepared to do to help your community, starting with your home, and what kind of progress you think our political leaders need to be making as public servants. There is always room for improvement. I invite all to reach out to me with questions and any community issues on which you may need help - from our public schools, crime and violence, community cleanliness, and the like, as we will do all we can to help you here at Philadelphia Front Page News.
This is our community, and we will be vigilant when it comes to dealing with our own issues. I was born and raised in West Philadelphia. I am a graduate of Bok Tech Vocational High School. I serve as a Union Representative for Local 234, handling grievance issues against Septa, dealing with disciplinary cases, and fighting for better working conditions for my fellow co-workers. I am a fighter for those who cannot defend themselves. I am a Philadelphian who cares. Also, I will be working with a true community activist in Mr. Teee Colston from "The Thoughts of Black Men." Teee is based in New York City, but we will be collaborating to bring light on issues that face black men today, especially subjects that really go overlooked. We will examine these things and see what we can do to correct the problems socially, spiritually, and politically. Politics is a part of the fabric of my family. Some may know that Mayor Michael Nutter is my cousin, yet he and I are two different men, not always agreeing on everything.
However, the main thing we agree on is that there needs to be a positive growth of each person in our city and that we need to strive to make our home the best it can become. We do this by constantly checking ourselves, to see if our reflection in the mirror is clear and unblemished. We need to make sure that if we as individuals, communities, and political leaders have flaws, that we can accept criticism from time to time to keep us on our toes?
This will be my mission: to keep my readers informed, and keep the ones who we elect to office and/or appoint to office, accountable for their actions. That being said, let me tell you this, I am an advocate for Court Reform in the State of Pennsylvania. In my up-coming articles we will look into some issues involving the court system in Pennsylvania, and its judges, some of whom are breaking the law in their closed chamber dealings with minorities, particularly black men in the system. So we have a lot to talk about. Feel free to e-mail me your thoughts and responses. Very soon we will be back on the air at WVSR 1360.1 on the AM dial. So stay tuned. In We The People News: Let’s rediscover the American President.
The newly elected president hopefully will take a first closer look at the earliest known treatise on international law. It was the Introduction to the Law of Nations written at the end of the 8th century by Mohammed bin Hassan al-Shaybani in the year 804.
Shaybani was a great jurist of the Hanafi School of Islamic law and jurisprudence. And other Islamic jurists soon followed with a number of treatises written on international law (Siyar in Arabic). These early Islamic legal treatises covered the application of Islamic ethics, Islamic economic jurisprudence and Islamic military jurisprudence to international law. Shaybani was concerned with a number of international law topics, including the law of treaties, the treatment of diplomats, hostages, refugees and prisoners of war. This included laws about the right of asylum; conduct on the battlefield; protection of women, children and non-combatant civilians; contracts across the lines of battle; the use of poisonous weapons; and devastation of enemy territory. From the outset then it's hoped our new president will keep his promise of change. Then we will surely have a better nation.
