The Pennsylvania House has voted to set aside one of its own rules, clearing the way for the start of floor debate on a budget bill on Thursday.
The House rules state that the budget bill, which came out of committee on Monday, would have to sit on the calendar for ten sessiohttp://www.kyw1060.com/n days before consideration.
But Todd Eachus, majority leader of the Democratic-controlled House, says suspending that rule is necessary, given the situation:
“...clearing the way for swift action, hopefully before the end of business on Friday, so that we can get a really clear message to the state senate.”
