Real Men Cook for Charity, the premier urban Father's Day event, celebrates 20 years this Father's Day.
Real Men Cook for Charity began in Chicago in 1989, when co-founder Karega Kofi Moyo wanted to stage an event that would showcase a different and perhaps lesser-known side of the media image of the African American man:
“The guy next door who just loved cooking and thereby giving credence to the fact that, as I see it, is that men are nurturers.”
