Federal authorities want a Philadelphia detective held without bail pending trial on charges he tipped a drug boss that authorities were coming to arrest him and execute search warrants. A bail hearing is scheduled for Thursday afternoon. The officer is being fired by the department.
Federal prosecutor Michael Bresnick says detective Rickie Durham, who was assigned to a federal task force, was among about 250 federal and local law enforcement officers about to execute the arrest and search warrants, when Detective Durham allegedly made phone calls to warn drug boss Alton Coles -- also known "Ace Capone" -- they were coming.
